Mr.
Giffels formed The Giffels Law Office, PLLC in 2005 after nine years
at
another Kalamazoo, MI area firm. Since 1996,
Jim has limited his practice to
representing only people with serious injuries.
Mr. Giffels graduated cum laude from The
Detroit College of Law in 1994.
While studying law, Jim worked full time as an insurance
claims adjuster for
Liberty Mutual Insurance, then Citizens Insurance.
Jim’s extensive
background within the insurance industry gives him
a huge advantage in
representing his injured clients. Simply put,
he has an insider’s knowledge of
how the insurance industry works and uses that knowledge
for the benefit of
his clients.
Mr. Giffels holds an undergraduate degree from Western
Michigan University
(dual major in Management and Finance) and is a lifetime
Kalamazoo
resident. Kalamazoo is where he chooses to practice
law and raise a family.
Since he began practicing law right here in Kalamazoo
in 1994, Jim has
